Nature Discovery in Your Schoolyard

Can't make it to the nature center? No problem - we'll come to you! We'll bring our live animal ambassadors and nature-based activities to your school. Year-round. 

FREE schoolyard visits for Baltimore City Public School 4th grade classes provided through funding from the National Park Foundation's Open Outdoors for Kids program.

Schoolyard Wonders

Discover nature in your school yard! Science inquiry includes identification of plants, invertebrates, and other wildlife during outdoor games and a scavenger hunt. Note: Children will be outdoors for the duration of this outreach program; please dress for the weather!

Monday - Saturday: 8:30am - 4:30pm
Monthly Second Sundays (May-Nov): 8:30am - 4:30pm


Trail Hours:
Monday - Saturday 8:00am - 4:30pm 
Monthly Second Sundays (May-Nov): 8:00am - 4:30pm 

If you arrive before our Center is open, please pick up trail maps and brochures from the kiosk along the sidewalk.

*On Second Sundays May-November, the Center and campus are closed on the preceding Saturday.
